A network for skiers & riders passionate about snow sports

Favorite Trail ? That's an interesting question . Each trail as you know has it's own challenge and each trail gets the smiles per hour up . I'd like to share my favorite run , but it's not just one trail . It's one experience . I start at the Gondola then out the door at the summit , step into my bindings , point em down Exodus and slowly pick up speed , take a sharp right and launch onto Angel Street , no hanging around at the headwall , ski's leave the snow for a second and then hit the snow again and then I just rip it up on my way to the North Peak Lift , up the NorthPeak Lift , take a right off the top and head down Sunset , skiers left or right , don't matter , either side has it's own rewards . Cruizin around the backside of the GoGo , slowing down a little as I pass the Tote Road Lift on my left , then taking that sharp right onto Upper Picked Rock Trail , Smooth cruizin till I near the Grand Junction , where I put on the brakes as I cross over on to Lower Picked Rock Trail , ya sure it's an Intermediate trail , but mid-week when it's wide open , I like to open em up and make long wide GS style turns . The trail's always a fun run , take that left near the bottom and head over to the Kancamagus Quad Lift , unloading at the top of the Quad taking the left into the Grand Junction , then sharp left under the GoGo , cruize Pickeroon Trail for a blink of an eye then right onto the Seven Brothers Trail , entering just downhill from the unload area of the Seven Brothers Lift and just let em ride , taking a couple of them rollers on the skiers right , if the little pipe is open I may dip in there , nothing crazy , just ride the walls up and down , then back to the Gondola .... whew...... back to where I started and it only took 25 minutes . Ya it's quick , but it's not about miles per hour , as my friends Dave and Skid say , It's about "SMILES per HOUR " , You can get em at Loon , all day !!!!!

I am a Wyoming girl, now residing in Colorado. I have heard about Loon mountain from a friend that suggested I visit Loons' website. The first article I came upon was the one by Joe Lancelotta. I am not a skier yet, but after reading Mr Lancelottas article, I am definately thinking about becoming one. He made Loon and skiing sound like a "rush" I would love to experience!!
