A network for skiers & riders passionate about snow sports

Hello! I was wondering if there was going to be the Open Season series this upcoming 09/10 season? I know that not all of the park events are listed, but I was just curious. Thanks!

We are actually planning to do a new series of events this season called Fun! Day in the Park where we will debut a new park feature (or features) - the first one is scheduled for 12/13/09. All the events are now listed on the parks site and also our main website at http://loonmtn.com/info/winter/events.aspx. Let us know if you have more questions and we hope to see you there!

Thanks,

MM

Thank you Molly! I was trying to figure out what Fun Day in the Park was becuase the events page was very vague! it sounded like it was just debuting a new feature not a rail jam! I am so excited...I was so disappointed when I thought there were no more rail jams at loon!!

"Come check out the new feature that will debute during FUNday in the Park. Look for clues about the new feature starting a week before the debut. Our park staff will be on hand to talk to riders and skiers about the concept of the new feature and listen to ideas for upcoming FUNday's. At the end of the day, we'll christen the new feature with a product toss!! Location & time TBA"

This is not the description of a rail jam. All this is a debut of a new feature and to talk to the park staff...nothing about prizes or categories...all it says is that there will be a product toss at the end of the day.....it sounds like a day to reveal a new feature and hang out with the park staff and nothing more

it should say....we will christen the new feature with a rail jam....not a product toss. also is it the same format as open season where you accumulate points and there is an overall winner at the end of the season in each category?

just so you know...everyone thinks you have canceled all rail jams and are not having any more becuase it does not say anywhere on your website anything about rail jams. you might want to reconsider the way everything is worded. i know that after i thought there were no more rail jams i started looking at other mountains such as attitash, mount snow, even cranmore becuase they offer rail jams....i have been comparing prices of seasons passes at other resorts becuase it looks like loon isnt offering any park events for skiers other then thanksgibbing or whatever you changed the name to this year. right now mount snow or killington are looking the best
