A network for skiers & riders passionate about snow sports

Hello! I was wondering if the Family Fun Zone is defined anywhere? I have searched through the Loon website and brochure. I have been telling people I work with about it and I realized that I really have no idea what it is. When I ask ambassadors at the mountain they don't have a real answer other then it is a slow zone. But if it is just a slow zone why is it defined as Family Fun Zone and a Slow Ski Zone? I was just curious if Family Fun Zone is anything more then a Slow Ski Zone?? Thanks!

SkiGirl- The Family Ski Zone is defined on our trail maps and in our brochure as well as on the trail with signage. It is marked as a slow skiing and riding area, and is meant to be a place for anyone (including family with small children) can feel comfortable skiing and riding at a slower pace. Hope that answers your question. Looking for a great weekend with all 49 trails open, and perhaps a little dusting of natural snow.

Thank you so much! So it is just a slow zone. i appreciate you clearing that up for me! One person I work with was trying to tell me that it was more then just a slow zone. Now I can tell him I was right!

Comments: I'm running out of words to accurately describe how beautiful the last few days have been. They just don't make them much better, so when we see a little less sun tomorrow, no doubt we'll all being going Oohhh!" However, Thursday should be as good on the hill as ever. In spite of the relatively warm temps, most of the runs have remained fairly firm, with the soft stuff basically being limited to the base areas near the lift entrances. Traditional Spring conditions will be here soon enough, so enjoy this while you can! Have a good one! -Bud
