Early season snow storm on the way !

Hello all,

My crystal ball is telling me that a HUGE early season snow storm is on the way for the Friday after Thanksgiving ! When it happens, tell all your friends that Joey Skittles predicted it.

Get the skis out and tuned up people...we are just a few short weeks from getting back out on the mountain.

I’m sitting here at my desk looking out the window at it r- ra- rai- rain… There, I said, the dreaded 4-letter word. I’m here at work on this Saturday, trying to get some things done as we have a busy week ahead: Bud the snow reporter comes back to work Monday, lift evacuation training is Tuesday, media party at the Boston Globe is Thursday, and the Boston Ski and Snowboard Expo starts Thursday and goes through Sunday at the Bayside Expo. Favorite Trail ? That's an interesting question . Each trail as you know has it's own challenge and each trail gets the smiles per hour up . I'd like to share my favorite run , but it's not just one trail . It's one experience . I start at the Gondola then out the door at the summit , step into my bindings , point em down Exodus and slowly pick up speed , take a sharp right and launch onto Angel Street , no hanging around at the headwall , ski's leave the snow for a second and then hit the snow… Continue

Current Weather Conditions - November 20, 2009

New Snow (last 24 hours): 0"
Current Conditions: Rain ending this afternoon with temps in the 40s tonight.
Temperature °F: 50°F
Forecast: Temps staying mild through Thanksgiving and then colder temps are expected!
Comments: We've rescheduled our opening date for Friday December 4th, weather permitting. If Mother Nature decides to cooperate and the cold temperatures return sooner, we'll open prior to the 4th. Standby for updates. The Octagon season pass office located in the Gondola Barn will be open this weekend from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. Cease and Desist rail jams have been rescheduled for December 12th. Stay tuned for more info.
